Monday 17/9/12

In this post i will be posting what work i did over the weekend and i will be posting what i did on monday along with images that i scanned in

On Saturday i did more drawing work and managed to get a rough drawing done for what my character looks like and i did more drawings of chests and a few of heads as practise for drawing heads and i did my character backstory over the weekend.

Since my idea of a backstory was extremely different from what we used as a group, i completely had to change my characters background.

Zakari Crossflame

Backstory:
I was just a normal person, walking the streets on that day… the day the nuclear bomb fell from the sky and caused me to end up as I am today.
I wasn’t very close to the explosion but I wasn’t very far either, the blast was unbelievably big and powerful I was blown away and sent flying by the force of it. Though a lot more happened to me than just being blown away, from my hips down and my arms as well were completely blown away and turned into dust. My torso and head were sent flying into a warehouse full of scrap metal that was there while waiting to be recycled.
I woke up just over 200 years later once the radiation had gone. I had new arms and legs made completely of metal but the thing I could not understand is why I was still alive… How did I survive it for 200 years? Did the radiation affect my heart and body and put me in a near-death state for 200 years? If so then that is not the only thing the radiation did to me, my face had changed from mutation cause by the radiation so I decided to cover it up... my eyes looked really weird and I wanted to cover them aswell however it would be better if I can see.
I am grateful to the engineer who gave me new legs and arms, though they are hard to get used to and I am grateful to the healer who brought me back to life from the near-death state.
The only question left in my mind is this, my lifespan, it has been 200 years yet age-wise I have not really changed much at all. Does this mean I will age slower than normal people? I suppose only time will be able to answer this question but for now, I will travel with the engineer and healer who helped me so much.

That is the background i am using for the group work, as for the background for my idea that i had before which was a disease i did not write it up since i was focusing more on the designs for my character.

This is the first page of the drawings i did on Saturday, I practised drawings a few more torsos which didn't turn out too bad in my opinion, some of the best torsos i have ever drawn anyway.

Next i tried putting the arms and legs i designed on a body, didn't really come out that good but it was worth a shot and it gave me an idea on how i wanted to draw the rough final.

I realised that even with getting a body and arms and legs i was still missing a head so i did a few designs for heads, 1 on this page and 1 on another page..i ended up using the one on the other page.

This is the head i ended up using, changed the design on the mask a bit but this is ultimately the head i ended up using.

Next i decided to try and put some clothes on him under the same prestence as the head, that after sitting in the radiation for 200 years things would of changed on the body... I basically designed so it looks like his skin is dead, pure white, with dried in blood stains all over it however i also did it so that the character does not like how his body looks so he picks up a shirt he finds and wears it and its the same story with the mask.

This is the rough final that i drew. It was with this drawing that i scanned in and used in photoshop as a original to draw a photoshop version of this with colour to be used on the cards and in the rulebook/guidebook.
